Final Destination

Final Destination is a horro movie that was played on tnt. There is not neccesaraly physically existing ghost or something, but students still keeps dying. One of them can predict who is going to die next, but he can not predict when and how one is going to die. Students call it 'death' which they believe is cause of deaths of students. This 'death' does not have physical form, but it can move objects in such ways to cause deaths. For example, it causes car accidents by disabling one inside car to open the car door or start the car. I did not realize that it was horror movie until I researched to find english name of the movie since in tnt it only shows portugues name of the movie. I think that it is more closer to thriller, because even though there are scenes when students die, but most part of movie is psycological. They have a lot of struggles each other and themselves. The one who is 2nd from left tries to suicide with all of them, after one at the left corner died, saying that he will at least control how he dies and when he dies. However, this does not happen.

The one infront of the poster is the one who can predict who is going to die next.

Meet the Spartans

This movie is parody of "300". The spartans in this film are not as heroic as the ones from 300, and the plot is more like comedy. Also in this movie, things like cell phone and blue screen appears which makes the movie less serious and funny. The most different character was Xerxes. He is very fat and likes to negociate than battles. Characters from different movies appear such as Rocky and Transformer. The movie was very hillarious over all and I would recommend to any one who likes comedy.

This movie is about Vincent Palmer, Who wants to recruit Ben Keats by any mean, and Ben Keats, genius who invented a way to track people extremely accurate. Vincent Palmer is a head hunter who gets money by recruiting good workers for a company. He is mentally unstable unless he takes his medicine frequently. He uses any neccessary method to do this even if it means to kill someone or threaten someone. Palmer starts to persuade Ben Keats to transfer to different company which will give him better options. However, Ben Keats wants to stay in his company because he likes the workers and boss in the company. Palmer starts to call him every day, tries to meet him every day. Ben Keats thinks that it is just ordinary recruitment, but the boss who has serious illness thinks that this is very serious matter. Even though Palmer started to persuade in the light way, he slowly starts to threaten him. Palmer has hidden cameras every where so that he can observe Ben Keats and people close to him every moment. In the end Palmer even kills the boss of the company that Ben Keats works for. After this, Palmer even threatens Ben Keats that he will kill all of his family if he does not sign the contract. Eventually Ben Keats kills the Palmer and lives a peaceful life. I feel that this kind of movies makes me complicated after watching, but I enjoyed watching this movie because It has parts that are thrilling. I also liked the plot because It has unique story. I did not like Ben Keat's character because he would not do anything about threats he was receiving against his family. He should have signed fast or track the Palmer down faster so that no one would have been killed. I thought that the charcter Pamler was interesting because this kind of character that is mentally ill is harder to act but the actor sorted it out very well. All the actors were new to me except the one who acted as boss who was not an important role of the movie, so this movie was good that I found good actors that I did not know before.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

Since my school bus is elementry school bus and most of students using this bus are elementry kids, Bus driver put a DVD player in the bus. Mostly animations are played, so I get to watch these animations that I would not watch by myself. I watched this movie for the same reason. It is called 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs' and it is animated. Its story is about a crazy scientist who always has been invented things since he was a kid. However, he kept failing on projects and always caused bad incidents in town. No one in town liked his work including his father. His father wanted him to just run a shop and live a normal life. The island he is living in only has one kind of fish to eat, so people in this island do not have chance to eat other delicious food. This motivated him to invent machine that would create any kind of food just with water. By accident, this machine flies to the sky and stay inside cloud. Because cloud is full of water, it is able to make food inside the cloud. That is how he was able to make food rains. Everyone liked his invention and also liked him. He became famous for this and all people in the town wanted to make him continue to make food rains so that people in the town can eat various kinds of food. However, the problem was that food was getting bigger and bigger every time the machine makes the food rain. In the end, one hamburger becomes as big as a house. Food was way too big and started to destroy the town. The scientist feel the responsiblilty and stops the food storm in the end. I was asleep during 1/3 of movie, but because its plot was so simple, I still could understant whole story. I thought that this was interesting topic because I think that this is the first movie about food rain and food mutation. I liked the last part, food mutating and becoming a life form, because I thought the idea was funny. Especially headless chiken fighting with main characters were funny. The scientist's friend who is incredibly stupid wore one turkey like a clothing and fought with those chikens. I would recommand this movie to people who likes cartoons or people who simply has time to kill. I do not think that this movie is very good movie to watch, but if one just wants to watch a carefree movie, then this may be the movie for that purpose.

Ironman

The main character is not super hero or has any abnormal skill or power, but using technology, he kind of wraps himself with machines that able him to shoot missiles, fly and have inhuman strength. He did not make it successful the first time, but eventually he made it work. However, there is an old man who also seeks for power and finds another old version of 'iron man'. However, the old man takes the main character's man made heart to operate the machine. Luckily, he finds another heart and survives. The old version is much bigger and stronger, but in the end, old man dies probably because main character was smarter. I think that is why movie is called iron man since machines are around him and refer machine as iron. I watched it from the channel Telecine, and I could not watch it from the start, but i watched the major part of movie. Therefore, I do not know why the main character has man made heart instead of real one and why he started to build "ironman". I like the movie because it looked a little bit more realistic that it is not like some super power story.

Mummy-Tomb of dragon emperor

I found this movie when i was just randomly changing channels. This movie is one of those mummy series. Its story is that there is a emperor in china who is preserved as mummy and one general of china tries to resurrect him. There is a group of people whose destiny is to stop emperor from gaining full power. These people have immortality so that they can be guardian forever. They meets with a family whose members are all good at fighting and gather strength to stop the emperor and the general who resurrected the emperor. This emperor some how has some super power. He can breath fire, turn in to beast like dragon, freeze things, and he won't die by normal methods like shooting. There is special dagger that is passed down on generations of immortal guardians. However, even though they are immortal, they do not have any super powers like emperor. Because of this, the family and guardians have hard time to stop emperor. Emperor's true objective is to resurrect his soldiers and rule the whole world. In the end, emperor is killed by the family. It was interesting that even though it was mummy movie, only mummy was dragon emperor and he was wrapped up with some kinda of sculpture all the time. After he gained more power and could have a form of human and raised soldiers, all the soldiers were made of mud so the only mummy in the movie was emperor and he changed into beast many times, so most of the time there was not many mummy scenes. I liked this one over other mummy movies because other movies usually have the evil mummy which can control bugs. It was better to watch movie without so many bug infections.

The merlin

This is TV series Merlin and i watched until season 1. Its setting is past and it is about magic. Merlin is a boy who can use magic, but the kingdom he is living in banned the magic. Any wizard will be hanged. Even with this restraint, he sometimes uses magic to save his friends and other people because otherwise they would have gotten hurt. Each episode has different problems and for each episode Merlin solves them using magic. Most problem is because of a ancient priest who tries to kill Merlin, but in the last episode Merlin kills the priest. I did not like the main character Merlin because i think he lacks flexibility and courage compared to his friend. His friend is son of King and Merlin works as a servant but in private places they are friends. I liked the friend Arthur because even though he can not use magic he saves many people.

Zombie land

I watched this movie about a week ago. Zombie land is comedy but subject is unusual to be comedy as its theme is about zombies. The beginning of movie is 2 weeks after zombie infection started, so there are not many survivors. Most of them became zombies. The main character is a guy who has all kin of phobias and gets scared very easily. He heads to his home town to see if their families are safe, but later he finds out that his family probably died after he meets 3 other people who tells him that his town is burnt. One of them is a guy who is obsessed in killing zombies and finding twinkys. Other 2 are women whose main objective is to survive. In most part these 4 are only humans through out whole movie because others dies and appears only for a short time. As these 4 meets, their destination changes to pacific play land because they believed that there is no zombie in that place. However, after they get there, even though there were no zombies at first, all the lights attracts hundreds of zombies. Eventually all 4 of them survive and have happy ending. Most parts of movie was funny except the fact that zombies' nasty appearance was annoying. I liked the guy who likes twinky because i find him most funny and he also has important role because his fighting skills save them in the end. The story was messed up and made no sense and I think thats how it amuses more. For example, a guy to risk life to find a bar of twinky and piano suddenly falling down from the building. I would recommend this movie to people who like comedies, but for ones who don`t like looking at zombies, they may need to avoid this movie.

Robin Hood

This is a series, but i watched it equivalent amount of time as movie length. This is more or less comedy and basic plots are from original Robin Hood. The main character's name is Robin who is in charge of a village. However, he was not in the village because he was in war. Meanwhile, the bad sheriff slips in and manage village. This sheriff was crucial to people having very high taxes. After Robin comes back, he tries to stop this, but he was expelled and he became outlaw. This is how he started living in forest helping poor people. The name Robin Hood is from soldier's Joke that he should be called Robin wood because he lived in forest. Because it is series I did not watch ending, but I think that it was very funny. Even the bad people were funny and their british accent was amusing.

X-man wolverine`s origin

This movie tells the past of Wolverine. He was born as mutant along with his brother. A group of mutants started missions that were not possible for normal humans. His brother was stronger and he liked to fight. They have conflict about it and Wolverine leaves. That made the group to scatter and his brother was very angry about it. His brother started to kill other mutants in the group and attacked even his own brother. Wolverine could not win, so he did a operation to make him stronger. That made his claws become impossible to be broken and Wolverine win against his brother. This is how he had claws that were shown in other movies(X-man 1,2,3). I was not as interested because i did not watch other X-man movies, but it was some what fun to watch. Interesting part is that there is a korean actor in this movie. His character was also mutant that was good at shooting. I was very interested while watching, but it was sad that this character died in early of the movie. This character died by wolverine because this mutant was ordered to pursue wolverine.

King Arthur

This movie is about knights who had to fight for Rome even though this is not their country. These nights were forced to fight against Rome for 15 years instead of being killed. After 15 years, they were supposed to get freed, but Rome did not let them go free. They had to fight 2 more fights that were almost suicide missions. During battles, more of them died. In the end the ones survived live happy. I think that it was a good movie because i think they represented the life in medieval well enough and it was amusing to watch. There were many battle scenes that was spectacular and I think it well showed the knights` spirit and how they put importance on honor and glory. They did not fear death. Interesting part is that one of them think of Rome as great country and actually fight for Rome. His name is Arthur and was the leader of this guerilla group. He was influenced by a teacher who taught him that every one is equal. In the movie, there were many part that I could find him acting according to this philosophy. For example, even though he was under Rome which was heavily influenced by religion, he did not hesitate to punish priests who were corrupted or crazy.

Agua Negro

I could not find exact name because this was japanese movie, so i only know portugues version name of this movie. I could not fully understand because there was no subtitle at all, and it was japanese dub. It is a horror movie, so i could understand general plot. There is a girl who was drown and died. She had grudge with it and became ghost that can control water. There is a family of a mother and a daughter and enters the apartment that ghost is in. For some reason, ghost bothers this family and eventually takes the mother. Ghost did not kill her but forced to live with ghost. Therefore, daughter was separated from mother and lived alone. I felt that this was very strange movie. Graphic was not necessarily good and I did not really like the movie.

Avatar

This movie is about a soldier who can not walk. He goes to the planet callde Pandora. His mission is to be an avatar which is an combination of Navi and human. Avatar looks same as the aliens but human is the one controlling the body. The main character is a soldier who can not walk. However, as a avatar, he could freely walk and run. Because of this, the life as avatar becomes more important than as a human. In the end, he fight with Navi against human. I liked the overall story and graphic. I see that he likes life as Navi more because of freedom, but I did not agree how he turned against humans because he is also a human and even if humans had war against Navi it was not without reason. Humans tried enough to solve without war and it was his mission to do it. however, it was him who did not do mission properly and led to war. I would blame the soldier for it because he only enjoyed life as avatar rather than doing his mission.

2012

2012 is a interesting movie which is about end of the world. The main character is a driver. He is not rich, but fortunately he finds about space ship rich people started to build. He manages his evacuates family. They sneak in to the space ship and some how the disaster stops before they started to leave. The sad part of movie was the boxer who died. He was rich and paid to enter the ship but he couldnt enter because the door was closed too fast. He died falling down from the platform, but he saved at least his children. I think that movie has good graphic. I liked the way it was filmed. Especially i liked the first part where the main character drived throu earth quake and buildings that were collapsing. The only character i disliked was the one who was in charge of government after president died. He was very selfish and did not approve to risk to save people. It was interesting because that Maya predicted the end of war is about 2012 and today is very close to 2012. I would recommand this movie to every one because i think that most people would like this movie and the topic is something that many people would be concerned.

Guns and Roses

Guns N' Roses is a American Rock band.
I learned about this band when i learned to play 'sweet child of mine' with a guitar. This song became one of my favorite song. I don't like or hate other songs from the band. Band members are Ron Thal, DJ Ashba, Richard Fortus, Tommy Stinson, Frank Ferrer, Dizzy Reed and Chris Pitman. The band released total 10 albums until now.
